changing the count of fabric from small to larger
Ok this question is not about the Chat Noir but I want to know if you can't work a small fabric like 28ct or smaller and you decide to go to like 14ct Aida, and the kit comes with a certain amount of floss for the original count (28 ),will I have to purchase more of the flosses than are in the kit for the 28count,since the 14 count is larger?. I seem to be running into that problem. hope I don't sound dense here.just someone please verify what I think is the answer, which I think is that I have to purchase more floss. many thanks from Norma at jenora2@att.net

Hi there

The 28 count fabric exactly like the 14 counts. Have fun.

The 28 count fabric is stitched over 2 threads and the 14 ct. is stitched over one thread so they are both the same finished size. If you are buying floss I would get an extra skein of each color just to be sure you don't run out.

If you are running out of loss that is included with a kit it may not be the way that you are stitching. It could be because the maker of the kit is stingy with their floss
