After staring my Noah's Ark project, I decided that 3 strands of yarn on 14 ct. cloth is just too much, especially for the intricate parts like Noah's beard. So again (very angry with myself, ) I ditched it after completing the boat. Well anyway I found another old magazine of mine called "cross stitch crazy" and on page 28, I found "Star of Wonder" A beautiful picture of the Nativity scene with beautiful colorful buildings in the background. So happy . But the cloth called for 14 ct. Navy Blue. Oh No ! I Cannot work with a dark cloth. Cannot see the holes too well,,(even in daylight.) So I settled for a lighter blue which represents the sky. Coming along beautifully. I didn't even have to purchase floss , as I have so many beautiful colors in my stash which I can finally use. Now, I really hate throwing out a piece that I have been working on (Noah's Ark) only to find out that it just isn't going well. What a waste of time and money ! But I cannot keep going on a piece which I am not happy with. It ruins my day ! Have any of you done that ?
