Aida-to-Evenweave Conversion--Advice Needed!!!
I've been trying to find a piece of white, antique white, or ivory 18 count Aida in at least a 20" x 24" size, and have found nothing whatsoever in the craft stores near me. What would be the evenweave equivalent of 18 count Aida? I'd like the finished project to be about the same size, and there's a lot of detail to the pattern, so I'm looking for it to be as close as possible.

HI Mobley Mouse! If you are used to using Aida and like it....I did a little research for you. Go to
123Stitch.com. On their home page, enter 18 count fabrics. It will bring you to a whole host of
choices in Aida...colors and sizes of fabric. I found one piece which seems like a really good deal. It is 30" x 36" in a soft tube. (The other sizes were smaller than the 20" x 24" you are seeking.) The price is $10.79. Not a bad price! I have ordered from them before and found their service to also be exceptional. Plus...you will get a fabric with the edges bound! Good Luck.

Zweigart does make a Lugana in 32 count. That would be the equivalent of your 18 count Aida stitched over 2 threads.

Oops...I read 16 count, sorry!!! There is no 36 count evenweave to my knowledge, only 36 count linen.

Nope! 32 divided by 2 if you are doing it over two threads equals 16 count, or another look at it is 16+16= 32. If you want the linen count that is the same as 18 count in design size, just multiply your 18 count by 2, doubling it, and you get 36! This is really tiny holes and squares, which is for experienced stitchers with great eyesight...even then, you might need a magnifier. I would get the 18 count from 123 stitch.

Hi Mobley,
There are times when you may need to go to on-line stores such as Everythng Cross Stitch, 123 Stitch, etc. to get a specific cut of fabric size as well as fabric color. I like 123 Stitch because of their excellent customer service and their hemming of fabric edges that you order.
