Confederate Angel!
I see the lovely patterns for the Patriotic Angel and the Freedom Angel (or is it the Angel of Freedom?) but I haven't seen anything for us down here in Dixie. No problem, take a pattern and tweak it!;)
I've chosen this to be my Confederate Angel since she's ahead of a storm and I like the sword bit;) I'm going to figure out how to put the Dixie flag (Remember folks, what people -think- is the Stars and Bars isn't! It's actually the battle flag of the Virginia battalions!) for her gown.
Yet another project on my ever-growing list!

Love the idea of what you are going to do to make this a Confederate Angel. It will be beautiful. I live in the north but am a Southern Redneck at heart.
My son is a Confederate re-enactor and I am a Civil War junkie and it just makes me so mad that the PC police do not understand that the flag they hate is a Confederate Battle Flag. I have given up trying to figure out the PC police. I thought this was a free country. Well time to get off my soapbox and go get some breakfast.

I am always poring over all categories at wonderful ECS and never saw this angel pattern. I feel compelled to stitch her, too, as I live in south Louisiana near New Orleans and she seems as though she could be our guardian from hurricanes.
I like the battle flag idea. You must be so artistic and creative to take on that challenge.
Just want to say how very much I enjoy this site and each and every one of you.

totraj, you are SOOO right about this site! It's wonderful! :D Everyday I come on to see who's chatting and then drooling over the kits and planning my next projects!
I know this is going to be a bit of a challenge but I think I'll start by making a black and white copy, then going over it with colored pencils. I -know= there's a program somewhere that allows one to 'drape' designs over an object but I don't have the computer savvy:(
