Q-Snap Frames
I just want to know if the measurements given e.g. 8" X 8" is the inside measurement once the work is secured or outside measurement of the actual frame.

Hello,

The 8x8 and 11x11 sized Q Snap frames are the sizes of the actual frame. So when you put the frame together the size of the frame 8x8 or by 11x11. So the area of the fabric on the inside of the frame will be about an inch or two smaller than that. Hope that makes sense and is helpful?!

Pixie,
Are you considering buying some Q-Snaps?

I am but they are very expensive on Ebay or TradeMe - I have found an 11" x 11" one here in New Zealand for NZ$23 which includes postage.

Hmmm, that isn't too expensive, but was most of that $23.00 price tag from shipping?

There is an 11 x 11 Q-snap on ECS for $15.45. But is it the shipping prices that are causing the problem?

The one I quoted for NZ$23 is just under $10 for postage. On this ECS that is US$ - so NZ$23 = US$15.76 plus postage would be on top of that. What would the postage be to NZ.

I would contact Everythiing Cross Stitch customer service. Their phone number and e-mail contact is under the "Customer Service" title located above next to the "shopping cart" title. Asking doesn't cost anything and that way you could see if you would save a few dollars.

Pixie,
Correct me if I'm wrong...but do you live in New Zealand? or do you have a friend that lives in NZ regarding the Q-Snaps?? I looked up some of the shipping and handling charges, not here on ECS, but through the post office, etc. to New Zealand and WOW WHEE!!! THE PRICES!!! AHHH!
Don't ask me why this Q-Snap/high shipping charges is "bugging" me. Probably because I'm old and probably because it's the challenge of trying to figure out how to get Q-Snaps delivered inexpensively to NZ....probably a combination of both....

Yes I do live in New Zealand and I'm an older woman as well (70 in September). The cost to ship the item is ridiculous - even on Ebay they are only available from the US or UK who have high shipping costs - the one I'm getting from Innovations isn't the Q-Snap brand but looks identical. I've been getting some of my embroidery kits from Russian suppliers (on Ebay), they are a lot cheaper and free shipping.

Pixie, Just a question because I really don't know , but would it be cheaper to order/buy from needlework stores in New Zealand? OR are the NZ stores still passing on their shipping charges for their needle craft patterns and supplies when they price tag the merchandise in their store?
