Miss C is wrong. This is stamped prefinished and pre-quilted Crib cover. the floss and instructions are included. All you have to do is stitch the stamped on picture. Very pretty.

The one complaint I read about this project is the floss came in a wadded up ball and it took the stitcher 2 days to sort it out.

With these pre-quilted projects you have to be careful that you don't stitch all the way through the project to the back. You go into the batting and back out. it takes a bit longer to do.

thanks but how do you finish the thread off or make sure the ends are hidden never done this before

I do a lot of stamped cross stitch blankets. Right now Im working on 2 of them. True the thread does come in one or 2 big batches. They are loosely tied in a knot. Take one at a time and untie it carefully. Make sure you have good light when you do this in case some of the colors are close together. I sometimes stand outside where I have good sunlight.

They way I finish mine is I buy a piece of cloth that matches either in color or theme of what the blanket is. I put the right sides together and sew around the edge starting at the bottom. You will be able to feel where the binding is and I sew on that line. Leave a space open so you can turn it. I then re pin it and sew around it again this time closing the bottom.

The back is loose and the stitches are covered. Ive tried using the no see stitch method but I cant get the hang of going one way and then going the next. This way to if the thread gets into a knot on the back I will know about it.

I hope this helps.

Ella-27 your way works however you are defeating the purpose of spending all the extra money to buy a quilt that is already quilted. In that case you would be better off buying just a quilt top and finishing it off.

if you Google this subject you will find videos showing you how to do the stitching. The instructions included with the quilt will also show you how to do the stitching without going all the way through. It will take longer but will be very pretty.

Hope this helps.

Ive tried doing the method where you just stay under the fabric. I had trouble with it. What would I put in to google doing it that way.

Even if I did just have the quilt top I would still need a center and backing which would probably come out the same in price. There are more choices it seems for already quilted blankets. Ill stick to that and get something that matches colors or theme.

I did one that had 4 jungle animals on it and found material with the same animals. It worked out great.
