This is a DMC floss color. Why your local stores don't have it is their problem, not yours, if they carry DMC floss. You can order it right here online at ECS. It takes only a few days, less than a week, to.receive packages on the West Coast and sooner if you ate close to Ohio.

I am not an employee of ECS, just another stitcher in this chat group.

That's why I try to place a larger order. Gas costs money and time is valuable too. You can't even buy a gallon of gas for $1.79. I'd have to drive a gallon's worth to get to a hobby shop.
Make an inventory of all the colors you need and also guesstimate how many skeins of floss of each color you require for your project and place your order.

I was wondering if it was discontinued color.

And, don't forget to ask the store managers locally to re-stock their floss. If they don't carrry it, try to convince them to do so. And, if you can't get it, I figure $1.79 in shipping is a small price to pay for getting what you need. I usually can find something else that I need or want...which is why most of us will admit that our hobby is an addiction.

It is an active color.

MY OPINION -- I am not an employee.

Yes, it is frustrating when you run out of floss.

If you bought this pattern as kit you should contact Imaginating, which is owned by the M & R Technologies, the parent company of Everything Cross Stitch and ask for additional floss.

If you bought this as a pattern only and started with a full skein and did not waste any floss you should contact Imaginating and let them know that one skein was not enough. Ask them to adjust their supply list.

Imaginating patterns tend to have many sections where a change of color really does not make a difference. Pick a section of your project that you haven't stitched yet -- use a similar floss from your stash or a color that is totally different. There is no law that says that you have to follow the pattern using the "suggested" supply list.

Did you try Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or Joanns?

She did say that she tried local craft stores. How about WalMart?

I would offer my partial skein. I recently sent a partial skein of a discontinued floss color to someone. It costs me a dollar in postage. I was happy to do that. The recipient was appreciative. However, since this this color is still easily available I am not willing to do that.

SORRY

It's kind of a niggling annoyance that nobody offers to either send the postage, or at the very least return the stamps...maybe I'm just cranky today, but thoughtlessly taking advantage of a person's generous spirit is kind of an issue with me this morning. Time to make the world right again by ducking my head, minding my own business, stitching up a storm...we could use the rain. :)
