For new beginners
We oldies all know this trick of the trade. This is the chart that I'm working from at the moment. There are a lots of short runs with the colours quite similar. For these I map out my stitching in one colour and as I put in the stitches I put an other colour on the top. It may look messy but it works for me. This is just a copy of the chart.

lol Connie. At any rate it shows that your Miah has gourmet tastes. My Westie's favourite tipple was the filthy birdbath.

That's a good way to do it! I never thought of mapping out my stitches. I think I'll give it a try on my next project. Although, I'm not a new stitcher, it has been a long time since I've done any cross stitch. We're never too old to learn something new, either. Happy stitching!

I'm glad you like it Aunt Connie. I treat charts that are a bit complicated just as I would a road map in the old days.

It would be fun to get true and tested tips from other stitchers. It's always nice to learn something new.
