Artecy Question
Do Artecy patterns contain a lot of quarter stitches? Has anyone done an Artecy pattern?

I've done several Artecy patterns and haven't run across one quarter stitch. Just to check, I opened five of the PDFs of their patterns I have on my computer and none had any. Now, all of my patterns are several years old, so I can't vouch for new ones, but unless things have changed greatly I don't think so.

Though keep in mind that most Artecy patterns are cover - alls. So there is no fabric showing when you are done. They can be quite a lot of work and most of the patterns are quite large, but they are incredibly beautiful when they are finished and look like paintings.

Hi Aunt Connie,

98% or more of our patterns only use full cross stitches. There are only some very small ones we have designed with backstitching and quarter stitches as well. We will always say what stitches are used in the description under each pattern.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Thanks and Best Wishes

Thank you both for your help. I think I'll get one and make it my "long time" project. They are all so beautiful, I don't know if I can pick just one!

Aunt Connie, I just wanted to "chime in" and let you know that I have completed several Artecy pictures. I very much enjoy their designs. I love the fact that the charts are printed on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. I like the choice of "symbols" they use for the colors. Some companies produce symbols that look "very close" to other ones....NOT Artecy. It is easy to differentiate your colors. Also, there are easy instructions as to how to "layout" the design pages and begin your project. I recently ordered: "Gotta Love Snow" from ECS! It is the cutest picture. Sometimes my church has "silent auctions" for fund raisers. I will donate this picture for that purpose. It is soooooo cheerful, I am sure someone will love it!! Christmas designs always sell!!!

Yesterday I ordered the Artecy pattern "Victorian Christmas" from ECS and I'm excited to get it and start stitching. I'm not going to hurry, so I have a goal of Christmas 2017 to get it finished. Hopefully I can make that goal, if not I'll just keep on stitching until it's done.
