color matching
I found a cool discussion instructable here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Cross-stitch-pattern-in-photoshop-with-symbols/step4/Replacing-colors-with-symbols/ about how to turn your pictures into cross stitch patterns. I created a pattern from a photo I had. It wasn't until I tried to figure out floss colors that I realized a problem: out of 64 colors probably about 58 of them are blue. I know the rgb values in my pattern. I found a list of the rgb values for DMC floss here: http://www.csh.rit.edu/~vance/pages/color.html and I found a program that gives you the closest match here: http://www.damaniel.org/dmc/dmctorgb.html The problem is this program assumes you are only using one strand of floss. With so many similar blues, I'm definitely going to have to mix some. Any ideas where to find a color matching program for mixing two or three threads?
