Misled/feeling cheated
I was pleased with how quickly my cross stitch kit arrived.
I am very unhappy with the kit. The picture is stamped on the cloth with no graph. I do like these projects and will not use the kit. This was not disclosed in the project description. The descriptions stated the kit included a chart. I assumed this was what most cross stitch is. I wasted my money. I would like to return the kit for a refund, but found nothing on the website about this.

If you are missing a piece of your kit, that would be on the fault of the manufacturer not ECS, though I'm guessing if you return the kit they will send you a replacement kit. lick on the Customer Service link at the top to find out how to contact ECS customer service on Monday. That said, the kit you bought is made by Candamar, and if you are just missing the chart you can contact them and I'm sure they will replace it: http://www.candamar.com/

Sounds like this should have been labeled as a needlepoint kit.

It does state that is an EMBELLISHED cross stitch kit in the description. And Thomas Kinkade kits are known for that. There is printing on the fabric but yes, you should have gotten a chart to stitch the rest of it on top of the printed part. If you didn't you need to contact the manufacturer of the kit.

One has to be careful when ordering Thomas Kinkade type kits to make sure the kit description does NOT say it is an"embellished" kit. The embellished kits only have a few areas on the printed cloth that the stitcher actually cross stitches. I personally only like the Thomas Kinkade "kits" that allow me to stitch the whole picture. I agree with Peapod; Candamar offers a lot of the Kinkade kits and they do offer some of Kinkade pics that is not embellished but it's important to watch out for the word "embellished".

There should be a chart included in the kit and that means the manufacturer (MCG Textiles) made an error while putting this kit together. We are a retailer of these products and not a manufacturer so unfortunately, we do not have replacement items for kits. What you can do is contact MCG Textiles (and I will provide you with their contact info) and just let them know what product you have of theirs and that you are missing the chart for it. They will get one out to you as soon as they can.
You can also return the item if you are unhappy with the order and we can refund your order if you wish. All of our return information can be found by clicking on the "Customer Service" tab at the top of the page. There should be a "Returns Policy" link there that will give you information on how to issue a return. Or you can call us during business hours M-F 8am to 5pm EST or email us anytime at sales@everythingcrossstitch.com and we can get the return/refund started for you.
