floss in pansy kit
Can anyone tell me if floss sent in kit that corresponds with numbers is considered 1,or 2.strands

And, does anyone else think the floss is extremely thin and frays bad. If you take a piece and pull it it just comes apart. It's so thin that it frays trying to thread it. I'm going to try and match my own thread to replace floss received. Will be a big job but worth it.

What kit are you working on? You may need to ask the manufacturer if you are wondering whether or not to use one or two strands for stitching. It should say in the directions for the kit, unless you are missing a page (which the manufacturer could replace, but not ECS, as they are a retailer and don't have spare parts for the kits).

Most floss comes in 6 strand pieces that you can separate, but some kits, like Riolis use wool, and others use off brands of floss. But it's impossible to answer not knowing the details of the kit.

I went to a shop and replaced all the colours with DMC floss. The floss with the kit was 1 strand of wool and it keep fraying and breaking.
DMC is cotton

It was a bunch of pansies. If I had read it was wool floss I would not have ordered it.
