Hello,

I am confused by your question?! The floss that is listed for this design are DMC Flosses and the dress should be in blue according to the Lavender and Lace website. I am not sure why are picture has it displayed as purple so I will check on that. If you are wanting the blue areas on your chart to be purple, you can just simply choose whatever purple colors you would like to replace the blues. You could also contact Lavender and Lace at www.tiag.com and see if they have any suggestions as far as color replacements for their design. Thank you :)

It looks purple. Could it be the light this picture was taken in? I've been misled before! :)

Hello,

The picture we have displayed is purple but the chart itself has a blue dress and the floss colors (even in our supplies box) are for a blue dress. I am not sure why we have a purple dress picture so I will have to check into that and see if we can get the correct picture up. The chart, symbols and floss are all for a blue dress...I have one in here front of me so that's how I know it's blue :) This customer is wanting it purple like the picture but we do not have the floss suggestions for that so I am hoping the folks over at Told In a Garden would be able to give her some floss suggestions for it if she's not comfortable choosing her own purple colors :)

Maybe the stitcher didn't like blue and changed the floss to purple or maybe she made a mistake and started out purple and was too far along and decided to continue instead of frogging?

I think the person who stitched the model used the alternate colors. The chart comes with conversions for hair and skin colors, and also lets you change the colors of the dress if you prefer. There is a section that shows you which symbols correspond to the flower girls dress and leaves it up to the stitched to choose the new colors.

Mystery solved. One only has to read the instructions. Something I am trying to teach myself to do. Oftentimes, I am too eager to begin a new project only to find out that I should have taken that extra 5 minutes....... LOL

oguinm, Well....I am puzzled! I have a DMC Threads Color Card. I looked at ALL of the colors listed for this design. I see no purple. I am having a thought that there is a DMC #930 which is a dark blue. I am wondering if the "photograph" is showing that in more of a purple color. If I were you....I would contact these folks at the Told In a Garden Website and ask them what the explanation could be. Their email address is: CustomerService@tiag.com. There is a very nice gal there that can probably give you a reasonable answer! I have asked her many questions! Good Luck!

On my computer the dress is blue and I don't see any purple anywhere.
