Have you googled it? DMC offers a wide variety. I've never heard of it and therefore never used it. It looks to be used mostly for embroidery. I didn't see any cross stitch projects.

Made me look! I had never heard of it either. Interesting, but I hate working with metallic threads, metallic fabric would probably push me over the edge.
