disappointment
Just pulled out this project to stitch up and I'm very disappointed that the pattern needs 1/2 cross stitches in it which the pattern does not have. I can figure it out but it is more time consuming. Ready to send it back. Cute project but stitching instructions are lacking.

It's an adorable sampler. I've experienced the same problem with a Christmas stocking. Go ahead and fill in the half stitches, you'll enjoy it much more when it's finished. Good luck.

I don't really understand your question. You said the pattern need 1/2 stitches which the pattern doesn't have. If the pattern doesn't show 1/2 stitches, how do you know you should put any in?
Sorry, but I'm puzzled.

Don't understand your question. I checked out the picture and I don't see any 1/2 stitches. I have done several Dimension Kits and they very rarely have 1/2 cross stitches and their directions are very easy and clear. If you are still confused I would suggest that you contact Dimensions directly at their customer service and perhaps they can help you.

the half stitches if any make the finished item look better to me it makes the detail so much better than everything looking square like for instance the thumb in the glove and they are not hard to do just saying

This is in reply to rmannion1. Oftentimes when no quarter stitches are indicated, it must be out of laziness by the designer. When the project is being backstitched the lack of quarter stitches is very noticeable. I study the design much more closely now to avoid having to go back and stitch all those little stitches with a multitude of different colors. It really makes a difference in the finished product - so go ahead and stitch them.

I believe that the stitcher is referring to 1/4 stitches - not 1/2 stitches. 1/2 stitches would surely be shown as they take up the same space as a full stitch and are, in my opion, an integral part of the design.

Hi there

It is all what it take just start with one stitch and that it. It is half of cross stitch. Do not go back on it. Good luck.

TexasStitcher is correct. The stitches are probably 1/4 stitches which I do like she does and fill them in as I go. A lot of times they are not on the pattern, but they definitely make the picture look so much better. Just work them in as you go and you will be all right.
