This 282Z floss is a light gold floss from their Light Effects collection. If you don't have a local needlework shop, it can be purchased online. Just google DMC 282Z.

This is a horrible product to work with. It's like wire. I use Rainbow Gallery products. Nordic Needle sells them.
I just threw away all the DMC metallics.

I agree with Texas Stitcher that the DMC metalics are like wire. I did the Christmas Cardinal from the 2016 Just Cross Stitch ornament issue. Part of the design is a yellow ribbon. It called for one strand of floss and two of E5200. It was frustrating trying ti pull the needle through the Aida. I am doing the project now and using only one strand of the E5200.

I live across the RED River from Fargo, North Dakota where Nordic Needle is located. The first few times I went in the store it was like being in a needleworker's heaven.

Meant to tell you to use 4 strands of Kreinik blending filament in a gold you like. It works really well.

I don't tell them what to use...I just answer the question. Now, if we're talking about opinions...I don't believe I could convince anyone that I'm shy. But only when asked or giving the "other side". :)

Tex, what's the word on the DH? Last I heard you were waiting while they made up their minds....heart procedures are the new tonsillectomies...only instead of telling lies about eating all that ice cream, they yell at you for eating ice cream...or drinking booze...or anything else worth bingeing on...oh, and the recovery is a lot slower. :)

I did this L & L angel and used a gold Kreinik 'blending filament' for those areas instead of the 'Light Effects'
wire like thread that the pattern suggests.

Another who agrees it is horrible
