I love this cross stitch. Does anyone know if it is very time consuming?

This is a beautiful, large fully stitched design using 63 colors. The completed size will be about 17 1/2 x 21 1/2 inches on 14 count fabric when completed. The cross stitch chart for this design will be in black and white symbols and charted over numerous pages. Stitching a design this size will take a good amount of time to complete and is best suited for an experienced cross stitcher. It is likely that there will be many colors that are very close in shade and frequent color changing of your thread will be needed to complete this picture. Best of luck. I am a cross stitcher who uses this board and not an employee of Everything Cross Stitch.

Absolutely! It would take a whole lot of time, Coverall -- 246 x 300 stitches equals 73,800 total stitches. 63 different color flosses! The upside is that ARTECY charts are easy to read. The downside is frequent color changes. Definitely not a week-end project. You need to take time and concentrate on what you are doing.

That being said -- I really like Artecy patterns but stick to her small ones.

HAVE A STITCHING DAY

Let's say you did 300 stitches per day. That would be three 10x10 grids. It would take you 246 days (8.2 months) to complete it. That does not include outlining. It is so adorable. Do you have a grandson?

Someone mentioned a board. I am an experienced, but live where there is no shop. Everything is on line except I can find some floss and kits which I never buy kits. But I now stick to 14 count. Age I do a lot of stitching on the road, so magnifying glass isn't easy. Just my glasses.

agranny, flip-up magnifiers are EASY to carry...or readers if you don't wear glasses. and inexpensive and you don't look like you're Dr. Who villain. ☺ This is a nice pattern but be prepared...they demand commitment. but they are worth it! 😊 That 8 months mentioned is only a guesstimate... if you stitch like blazes and can do 300 stitches, 7 days a week, you're my hero! 😊 Sounds like work to me! Do yourself a favor, don't worry about the time involved, work it at your own pace and be content. 😊

You mentioned the magnifying glass. I don't have one, and I do wear bifocals. Where would I purchase one? I was thinking of this cross stitch for one of 17 g-children 6 left to go and this won't be one of them!

This is definitely very time consuming, but well worth it if you have the time and patience. This is the type that I do most of the time now - very large and many pages for the patterns. Like someone said it is an Artecy pattern and they are very easy to follow. If you take your time it will be worth it in the end. I like this pattern so I added it to my wish list after you posted it.
