Prayer Pillow
I recently obtained a prayer my children's father's parents prayed at night with him (he passed away when my children were young). It's just a few lines and I want to incorporate them into a pattern for my grown boys and possibly for my grandchildren. Any suggestions?

If you have a pattern for a sampler or other pattern that contains an alphabet that you like, you could use that to write out the prayer on graph paper. Or you can buy a book of alphabets designed for cross stitch and find something with the size and look that you want. Again, play around with it until you get what you like in back stitch or combination with cross stitch for the writing. That sounds like a wonderful gift.

Thank you! I'm going to give it a try.

I haven't tried them but I googled Cross Stitch Pattern Creator and came up with a few sites where you can create you own pattern for free. I would probably give that a try as well. Good luck!

I've done it but it really takes a lot of time. GET IT RIGHT ON THE GRAPH PAPER BEFORE YOU STITCH ANYTHING. I have one for weddings and one for my church-members. And one that says "Families are forever".
