Snow Day
The weather here in SW Ontario is wretched ❄❄ and expected to worsen over the course of the day and overnight. The visibility out the windows is poor and I have decided to stay home today. All the school buses for miles around have been cancelled.
Hubby has ventured out to work and just called to tell me I wasn't being a wuss for staying home. Sheltered areas are not too bad, open areas are drifting in with poor visibility.
I think I will get some wrapping done this morning, then spend the afternoon stitching.

If I lived in your environment, I would be doing a lot of stitching at home and not braving the weather at all! I initially was raised in a snow environment, yet returned yo one in my early 20s. If I wasn't skiing, I stayed home and stitched. I agree, now the I get to live in the Pacific Northwest, but without snow, that a day spent wrapping and stitching is in order!

Sounds good to me. I love stating in on days like that. Don't feel one bit guilty. I had to do it for many years when I worked.

Mary, obviously you are getting what we got last night. I live in SE Michigan, about 20 miles north of Detroit. Today is sunny, but very windy and cold cold cold! I plan to wrap and stitch as well.

MaryM, I feel your pain! I live in SW MIchigan and we are under Winter Storm Advisory until 7:00 tomorrow morning. With coffee and stitching in hand (and laundry done) I am headed for my favorite chair to work on my favorite (well - one of favorite) stitching projects. Stay warm.

Cyndy, I grew up in Ionia, MI and went to college at Western Mich. I know your side of the state gets all of that lake effect snow! When we first moved to the east side I was so disappointed in the amount of snow. That has changed over the last 40+ years! I like getting less snow, but lately it has been quite a bit.

I live in London Ont & so far only surface snow but LOTS of wind! They're calling for a boatload of snow this evening (while I'm @ work!) about 20+cm with squalls so hopefully some of the guys will help me clear the car. (they usually do). I'd rather stay in & stitch & watch the snow from this side of the windows!

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Penn and lived for snow days. We lived on a steep hill and the school bus could not make it. However, my poor dad was a steelworker and there was no such thing . He used to have to put chains on the tires. You have perfect weather for hot chocolate and stitching. Enjoy the day.

This is the view from my back door about an hour ago. It's not looking any better yet!

We live a bubble where it snows all the way around us...We got a bit over an inch, but it is cold, and windy. I went out and shoveled a little, while playing ball with the dog. Throwing a frozen rubber ball is a lot like throwing a rock, but the knucklehead doesn’t care.

Mary, your pic looks like what we had last night, only we were a bit darker! More heading this way throughout the week. Knowing Michigan we will probably have 50 degree weather next week! (roll eyes)
