ARRRGGHH!!!!!!@@@@>>>>>>>>>>>********
Yes I did say that!! I have just started the "All Because" wedding sampler and marked with a long thread the centre of the material and then counted to the square needed to start at in the bottom left hand corner as I usually do. I the selected my thread and started the back stitch border. After 2 days I was admiring my handiwork and noticed it was a bit high on the material. Would you believe it somehow I had started the border at the half way mark and not only that I was using the wrong colour. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Guess what I will be doing for the next few days!!! I'm either all stitched out or not concentrating. Ah well back to the beginning we go. Better luck this time.

Maybe a little distracted? 😊 Things will settle soon. Till then, don't take any action for granted...safety first. 😊

DS was hit by a car when he was 11 and in the hospital for weeks...I started a T-shirt for him. Didn't realize till I had finished that it was the tee I had purchased for my DD and it was 6 sizes too small for him. He couldn't wear it, she wouldn't...neighbor kid got a very detailed ninja turtle... He loved it. I went back to work on his shirt, bought her a new one, and worked both at the same time. Sigh. 😊

You poor soul, Deirdre! There must be a naughty stitch monster tripping us up! Last night, I was awake until 3 a.m., bobbinating floss...just couldn't stop. Finished one little pattern and then today began another. Ordered floss for two or three littles.
Then I was so disappointed about how much floss one of my big projects, so by looking everywhere, I have managed to reduce the 63 colors down to 14, which will make DH and his miserly thoughts admire my savings.

Our oldest is getting wed in August. She will be 47! She might be too young, but we are accepting her decision. I have three different wedding designs and will pick one soon.. I can't imagine picking out 2 days of work. I have frogged a lot, but I like to spread the joy of it over several projects!

I make these types of ‘boo-boos’ without any stress. So it’s understandable with everything going on for you and DH, that your’re going to have stuff like this happen.
Maybe a few minutes during the day to mentally send yourself to “the beach” with your cabana chair? 🙂

I feel everyone's pain. I've been trying to force myself not to stitch past 8:00 PM. (causes too much frogging the next day) I NEVER bobbinate in advance. (I love that word) I always grid my projects, even the small ones, and somehow end up off count, or worse, off center. Also, try not to get distracted by eMails and giving advice on the chats. Problem is that all my patterns are downloaded into my computer so every time I hear a ping I have to check what is going on.

Started again this morning at 5.30 in the correct space and with the correct colour (at least I think I did). Perhaps I had better check again!! I will persevere and complete this one com hell or high water. DH went out with us to the family farm yesterday and enjoyed himself. We had several small things for him to do and test his mind so I think all went well. Now back to more blood tests tomorrow. Yuk!!

I think it's wonderful that after all you've been through, you are now able to find a little stitching time, so don't be too hard on yourself. Hang in there, your stitching will be calming for you. (After you get past the re-start, that is!! Ha ha!!)

So glad to hear your DH is doing better.

You are not alone...when I started my current project (Black Lab Puppy) I stopped working on it for a while, started up again, and after several hours of stitching, I noticed something looked off...then I realized I had counted wrong, and the right ear was on the top of her head.

Deirdre....Oh my goodness....with all of the stress you have been through, I am like the other stitchers.....I am glad you are picking up cross stitch again. I think it will be good therapy. Do not be so hard on yourself my friend, we are after all, just human beings! Best of luck to your husband and yourself. Will keep you in my prayers.

Well I'm now past where I started with the border and all is going well. I will unpick the wrong section shortly when I get to it on the material which won't be far away as I have just finished the heart which stops 2 inches from where I originally started. All is calm and serene at the moment but we shall see.
