This is a kit. You will get the fabric, needle and threads . You will have to get the hoop separate.

Inhale then exhale -a joke. Since this is a kit, everything except the hoop should be included. The size of the hoop depends on the size of your project. Hoops are fairly inexpensive (at least the ones I buy. I do not know where you live but WalMart should have hoops. The needle will probably come with the kit. Usually the needle sizes are size 24 or 26. I used to buy kits but I enjoy picking my own threads (dmc) and my own fabric. I live in a small town and the nearest shop is Tulsa about a 4 hr round trip so ECS is a Godsend. I am not sure but I believe there is a tutorial on YouTube by ECS. All the ladies and gents are very helpful and when you post a question, you will get answers from very experienced stitchers. WARNING CROSS STITCHING CAN BE ADDICTIVE. Have fun, do not stress, and enjoy the trip. (my first project was very small because I wanted to learn this craft and not frustrate myself. Gotta go, we are under a tornado watch. Believe it or not, my house was hit May 9, 2016.

You can buy hoops on this website. You can use any size hoop that fits your hands. I use smaller ones because they are easier to handle for me, like 4".
