Hi,
Found a cross stitch pattern at this sitehttps://etgiftstore.storesecured.com/Linemans-cross-stitch-patterns-detail.htm
See if this would help. If not, I typed in ‘power lineman cross stitch patterns’ on the internet search. 🙂

That same job of lineman was my dream job as a child. When I was about four, I talked my brother into running away over some perceived slight. Our mother packed a lunch for us, then called crying to my dad who was at work and tellung him about packing us a lunch and waving goodbye. Her babies were gone!!
After an hour or so, we came home. We had found a lineman and crew from Con Edison and visited with them while we ate our lunch with them. They talked us into going home and being extea good kids for our mom.
When I was in high school, I learned that NOBODY, not the electric company, nor the telephone company would hire women to train as linemen. I am 72 now and might apply any day now...

Bermuda you found an outstanding pattern.
SuPitt love the story. When I was little, my favorite outside job would be a mailwoman during the summer b/c the rest of the year I would teach. I did the teaching, 32 years. Never got to be a post person.

This brings to mind Glen Campbell and "The Wichita Lineman". We actually went to see him in Atlantic City many years ago. The last song he played was Amazing Grace.....on a bag pipe. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

I worked for the telephone company-southwestern bell then mountain bell. They started HAVING to allow women to become telephone lineman. This was in the 70s. Unfortunately, there was so much blowback from the men linemen. In fairness to them, they only made the women do the same jobs they did. They crawled under houses, climbed poles, etc. Everyone of the women at Mountain Bell in Roswell, NM washed out but got to get their operator jobs back. Man, did they have some good stories. Hey, let me tell you sometime when we went on strike and walked the picket line-two different strikes. Oh, those were the days.
