Update on the Mischievous Pups
Ok, so Hunter (the one who got into my pin cushion) scared his daddy last night. He was hacking and coughing and threw up so DH rushed to him figuring he had in fact gotten a needle in his system. Luckily, for lack of a better word, it was a piece of plastic from a drink mix that missed the trashcan. No blood in his throw up and I also inspected his stool outside and no sign of blood. I think we are in the clear but we are still keeping a sharp eye on him. Meanwhile, his mischievous sister Hazel got into the TV remote and chewed the back part off that covers the batteries. I think they are bored and need to get outside and run! I let them run a little this morning but we have been keeping them on the deck because the backyard is so muddy. It was 30 degrees this morning so I figured it was a good time to let them go out and run. They loved it! I think mud or not they need to run and get that excess energy out and maybe they won't chew so much! Wishful thinking.

I just absolutely love your updates on your pups ladyj! I am living vicariously through you and your dogs. I want a dog so badly but I live with my parents at this time and they won't let me have one. Keep up with the posts!!

Carissa,
I am glad you are enjoying my posts. I often think I annoy people with the non-cross stitching topics about my pups but I am glad they brighten someone's day. I will keep you posted on their mischief. I am sure there will be more!

I read your posts and smile and think " Glad it's you and not me!" Nothing against dogs, we are not dog people, but cat people. At one time we had a dog (gave in during a weak moment) and 3 cats. We haven't had pets for a few years now and while we sometimes think we would like to get another cat, we love that we can come and go without worrying about animals. I also LOVE how the house is so much cleaner and not have to vacuum/dust and clean every day or two.

Mary,
I do envy you the clean house. It seems like I can vacuum three times a week and still have enough fur on the floor to make another puppy. Funny we are opposites with the cat and dog thing. We had a cat when my second child was born.Wow twenty years ago now! He was given to me by my sister from her cat's liter. His name was Simba. He was an adorable black cat but unfortunately just wasn't for us. I have had dogs all my life and couldn't see myself without them. Although, it would be nice to come and go and not have to worry about the animals. My sister is both a cat and dog person. She has a new kitten named Blaze. He is adorable!

I made the mistake of letting Mabel out to run in the front yard the other day. What was I thinking? (Our front yard looks like the surface of the moon) She had a good time, but I didn’t have time to wipe her feet. Needless to say I had to wash all the furniture covers, and floors. Mabel chewed everything when she was a puppy, we had to pick up all the rugs, hide shoes, socks, and gloves. The good news is she out grew it, hopefully yours will too.

Mabel is so pretty I'm sure you weren't annoyed with her. Quin is still in the mischievous faze but he just turned a year old late December. We too have a puppy proofed home.

Sorry to say I am on the cat side, I have two, they can be just as bad at eating, stealing, chewing, and all around being naughty little s***s.lol I don't mind dogs if they belong to other people. We actually have our neighbors black lab who let's it run all over the place, nice enough dog but much to DH frustration is a deer horn stealer..lol

I admit we dogsit for our daughter occasionally when her family is off doing what they do. Riley is a large
Labradoodle, but he is very quiet and well behaved so I don't mind. He won't eat if he goes to the kennel and is a little happier here. Plus it's free!

I love your posts about Dante and Hunter and Hazel. Keep them coming. I think I told you about my rescues-Calamity Jane, Barty, Sonny, Little Thug all cats-and my German Shepherd, RoniRick (pronounced RonnyRick). They are all rescues and their lives are cross stitched in to our lives. Peace. Pam
