Rough Hands
I don't use moisturizers but guess I need to. My hands are like sandpaper and grab any piece of floss nearby when separate ing or changing colors. How long after using do I need to wait before stitching? No laughing vcess!

I think it would depend upon what you use. I have a lotion bar that isn't fully absorbed until about an hour after application, but a different lotion only takes 15 minutes or so.

Maybe a pair of light weight gloves over the lotion. They make both compression and non compression gloves.

If using Stitchers Lotion, I use a tiny bit, rub it around my cuticles particularly, close the lid, and by this time it has dried and I'm ready to stitch. I only use other hand creams/lotions at bedtime...NEVER before stitching. 😊 No laughing! 😊

Just get a tub of Udderly Smooth Body cream. It is non greasy, & most stitching shops sell it. I say a tub, because it seems thicker than in the tube. I have seen it at some Wal-Mart's even. It comes in a white plastic container, that has black spots on it, like a Holstein cow, & red in the name. I wouldn't be without it.

But it does not claim to not stain stitching over time...at your risk... 😊

Nita, I just ordered the Udderly Smooth tub from Amazon...not for stitching, it is also recommended for diabetic feet 😊 ...and its less than $4 for a tub!!! 😊 Thanks for the tip! 😊
