Funny Penguins
Anyone do the "Funny Penguins" sold at Herrscheners? They use Italian Wool Blend thread to give the fuzzy look for the baby penguins. My niece loves penguins and I thought I may try this. Let me know if you used this thread before and how it turns out. Thanks.

I have worked with furry floss, though not this brand. It looked very nice. I do worry about moths; I've had them do damage, even to cotton, when they're really hungry.

You won't have moth trouble, nor worry about little fingers dirtying it if it is framed behind glass or the plastic that framers use. To save money, I tend to find ready-made frames, if they will fit my project! Remember you can't wash this if it gets dirty while you're stitching. If so, wash in cold or very close to cold water with soap, not detergent. There needs to be space between the item and the glass, as glass reacts with the threads and they will deteriorate. I think that it's a very very slow process. I used tiny pieces of balsa wood in between the glass and frame. Or, just have a pro frame it for you. They know all the ins and outs of framing any needlework.
