It is not a stamped kit, but pattern is easy, and cute. My granddaughter is doing it.

This is the best way to go to learn cross stitching by starting small. That is what I did when I started stitching 30 years ago. I must warn you though it becomes addictive the better you get and work your way up to larger projects. If you have questions feel free to ask here on the chat room and we will help you.

Its the counting part that confuses me. Not sure where to start even though the pattern shows me

Generally, instructions are to start at center. Personally, I prefer to start at the top-left of the pattern and work to the right and downward. I find it easier to know where I am that way. I also try to work one color at a time wherever I can. Where do you live? If I could, I'd SHOW you.

Think I like the idea of starting like you said or at the bottom and go up so will give your idea a try when I start it I also bought a stamped one so I could get the stitches down. I live in Colorado
