This is a kit and contains 14 count fabric.

This Janlynn kit contains 14ct. white Aida fabric for the stocking. The kit also has floss, needle, instructions, backing, and chart to personalize the stocking. It is very pretty.

U can buy a small remnant from the computer in white color to fit that 20 inches for the backing from EBAY.

The kit comes with backing for the stocking that is only 18 inches long. If you want something a little sturdier for your backing a contrasting color fabric in a heavier weight. I would also get some fabric and put a lining in the stocking which is what I have done.
