Hi there.

you just folded as you fold a napkin in 4 on each other . Take one the corner to the other corner and do the same with the other side and then you will find the center and start working.

Fold the cloth in half, then fold that in half again in the opposite direction. Unfold, you will see where the folds cross each other, that's the center. I mark the center with a water soluble pen/marker. On your pattern, you will see arrows, one on top and one on the left side. Lightly follow the arrows down and to the right. Where the marks meet is your center. You start there. If you want to start at a corner, just leave 3" of fabric for your edge and start with your first stitch.
