No this is a Mystic Stitch counted cross stitch pattern. They use only full cross stitches, and you will stitch the entire fabric. The stitch count is 300 x 238. Using 14 ct. Aida it finishes out to 21 3/8 x 17 inches. Don't forget to add 3 inches per side when deciding on fabric size for your project. I have several Mystic Stitch patterns and they are black and white patterns that are several pages long. Not for beginning stitcher. If you are an intermediate stitcher and take your time this will be a beautiful project for you.

Call me crazy, but I'm so surprised to learn that this pattern (and presumably the others that look dark like this one) is actually done on light fabric! Now that I know that, it's even harder to choose...

Every single square is stitched so it is one solid piece of stitching. Seems very difficult to me.

Do you mean that they don't list each individual color of floss? They just say "A floss pack"?

Michaels is clearancing out of additional fabric and some DMC floss for counted cross stitch. I did see a limited DMC pack (not on sale) for $15, then add their 40% off coupon.

My michaels is getting rid of the varigated DMC floss. $.79 a skein. I don't know if all of their stores are carrying the same clearances.
