Dimensions uses their own floss. There's a conversion chart at cyberstitcher.com, but it doesn't match exactly. The best thing is to use the conversion chart to buy all new DMC floss. Floss & fabric means you're not using any materials from the kit, of course.

Reread your post. Try calling Dimensions about the floss. I've heard they're helpful.

Jlhewes has the best idea if you want to do it on 14ct. Aida fabric. I have done several Dimensions kits and several times I wanted to change a certain part and purchased what I needed extra. Cyberstitchers.com is the best place to find out what brands of flosses are compatible to DMC floss. I have copies of all the different charts from there in my binder so I have them handy when I need them.

I think Miss Cross stitch is suggesting you could buy a 2nd kit to get the extra floss.
