PAULA VAUGHAN
Although I have done several postings to this site I am still fairly new to it. I notice that some topics tend to go in entirely different directions than what they started with. Therefore, in an effort to make things easier for myself and probably others I am starting a new string for this topic.

Regarding the member who has done all those Paula Vaugan pieces -- what an accomplishment. It would be lovely to give framed "monthly" pieces to daughters, grand daughters, etc. for their birth month. If you end up with double pieces you can always make pillows!

I can't find the post from the stitcher who did the Paula Vaughn pieces but I would make them into a quilt. It would be a shame to break them up. It's complicated when you have several birthdays in the same month. Kids and grandkids immediately feel "left out", no matter how old they are. I don't do Facebook or other social media sites but my family does and information gets passed around quickly. I learn that from their comments! LOL

Yes, we go off in all sorts of directions. It's fun to learn about each other. We seem to be a pretty homogenous group as far as age, hobbies, experiences, health problems, TV habits of husbands, etc goes. I'm always excited to learn where stitchers live because I have had to live in so many different places and sort feel a kinship when I learn that I've lived in the area as well. This is a great group of women (and men perhaps) and we have two things in common we love stitching and ECS.

Shout out to Texas. I don't remember where the Paula Vaughan posting was. I only remembered that she couldn't decide if she should make quilts or wall hangings.

Or pillows....

Someone, I think the stitchers dilemma is that she has completed the blocks and cannot decide if she should give individual months' blocks as gifts or make one quilt that incorporates all the months. Since many people have family members that were born in the same month, I thought that to preclude anyone from feeling slighted, it would be best if she made a quilt for herself.

Oh thank you oh great wizard for the explanation to the simple-minded moron. :) But the remark wasn't particularly addressed to you. Just a random comment without need of clarification.

Oh hell no she didn't just put you down Texas Stitcher, did she?

Someone, mind your manners! We've been on here longer and give advice no matter who it was addressed to.

Even when no advice is warranted or asked for? Seems like Miss Manners has a LOT of work to do for a few. :)

Even so, you never know when someone is reading these posts and wants to know that exact information - may not apply to you, but for someone else, it could be quite valuable, such as myself. I would never thought of putting it all together as sets of pillows or a quilt. That's why I posted to TXS that it was a great idea! there are beginners in here and even with seasoned stitchers as myself, I don't always think outside the box.

You are right about Miss Manners!

TO SOMEONE -- Nobody on this board is a moron. Since we are using e-mail our thoughts can easily be misundersood. Also, I am sure that individuals sense of humors can easily be mis-interpeted.
