Beach Shells xst looks like a photo
The illustration of the beach shells xst pattern looks like a photo...so the cross stitch picture could not possibly turn out like the photo shows - could it??? Any one worked this one up? Thank you. Linda A. 108 Mile Ranch, BC

I haven't worked it, Linda, but we all know that there is a difference between every medium. It won't look like a photo but it will look quite similar. A photo is glossier. So, that's something to think about because it is a big project and quite beautiful. I would buy it if I didn't have such a comprehensive stash. LOL

While it won't look exactly like the photo, it will look very close and a lot of it depends on what you use for the fabric. It's very pretty...

It is going to be phenomonal.

These designers don't have models stitched. You could be the first. When I enlarged it, it looked like they Photoshopped it to bring in more shells. There' s no photographer listed in Description. However, it would look great at a beach front house, or a craftsman bungalow decorated with a beach decor motif.

Yes this is a photograph so your project won't look exactly like the picture, but close. I also checked and it uses 108 different DMC floss colors and the designer says the difficulty is for an expert stitcher though it only uses full cross stitches. It is very pretty. Just take it slow as you do the stitching. Hope this helps a little.

AMAZING CO-INCIDENCE? poster's address in 108 something BC and there are 108 flosses in the piece. It must be a sign that you should go for it!

Beach home or bathroom. Although I've been told not hang cross stitch in a bathroom. Mold issues could develop, especially if it's under glass.
