Changing count size fabric
Hello folks, I have a question. If a kit calls for 32 count fabric, can I change it to 14 count fabric? Will the project just be bigger or will it not look right? I know I cannot see 32 count very well because of my vision. Any answers would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Kelly

the 32 is 16 c in cross stitch Aida and if you have 16 or 18 or 11 or 14 they are all the same if you have any pattern it it will just looks smaller or larger. That all. good luck.

I use 14 count and it turns out beautiful... you just have to use a larger piece of fabric.... I also resize my graph to make it easier to see and highlight each row with an orange highlighter to keep my place.... Happy stitchingggmakitty

Hi Kelly,
You can change the count of any cross stitch pattern to what YOU would like.
32 count linen is 16 count aida.
If you click on the "Cross Stitch Fabric" listing in the box to your left of the screen, you will see a picture of a calculator below. Click on it and you can enter the size of fabric you want to use, how many threads. All you need is the stitch count to use the calculator. It helps a lot of stitchers because some of us do want to change the fabric count.

If this an actual kit, it will have fabric & floss included. You will have to buy new fabric & convert the floss to all DMC, as you will run short of the kit floss. If it's just a leaflet, you can make it on any fabric you choose.C
