Floss is by The Gentle Art and is sold here. I have never used it. I will be curious to know if it is like DMC, but I am guessing it MIGHT be variegated.

Blackbird uses hand dyed floss like The Gentle Art, Weeks Dye Works and Classic Colorworks. They can vary from very subtle to quite distinct variegations in each skein. This is what gives their designs their lovely 'antiquey' quality. They do give DMC conversions, but don't expect the finished piece to look like the picture.
