Heading back to my old stompin grounds.....
Well, heading back to my old stompin grounds next week; the cross stitch shop that I used to frequent so often and learned so much, before DH and I moved to South Carolina. Also, plan on stopping and checking out a new cross stitching shop in Vermillion, Ohio called "Claire's Stitching Post" on Main Street. She has a website. I'm taking some of my completed patterns and getting pricing for framing a few things at both places. Gonna pick up some of the Bohim needles, both sizes, to try on my one project.

Welcome back to us here in Ohio. I don't live near Vermillion. I live in NW Ohio, but please bring us some warm weather when you come.

I'll give it a shot Syagel.
Hope you've fully recovered and your stitching arm is back to good health.....

My stitching arm has recovered but I fell this week when I caught my foot in a rut at the local Speedway. My face looks like the Bride Of Frankenstein. Luckily after a CT Scan there was no broken bones. The swelling has gone down a lot, but my knee is black and blue. My DH always said that I had a hard head. They couldn't sew up the big gash because I took such a big chunk of skin out. Needless to say I have had a 'fun" week.

Well thank goodness you didn't BREAK anything!
Your black-and- blue knee (DMC 310 and 336)will no doubt turn into DMC colors 166 and 743 over the next week. Hopeuflly you have no swelling of the knee.... the skin you gave to the parking lot will no doubt regenerate but I understand about falls...had enough of them myself..

My gosh, Syagel! Were you speeding? :) Hope you recover quickly and completely! That chunk is probably going to take awhile.....ouch! :) Sounds like a great excuse to put your feet up and focus on stitch therapy.....but it's great that it's nothing requiring any other kind of therapy!

Claire's Stitching Post in Vermilion is small but packed with all kinds of goodies. I have been there a number of times. She has a number of fabrics that I have never seen anywhere else - hand painted cross stitch fabrics. there is also a fabulous chocolate shop next door. you might want to call first to see if she is open as she had odd hours a few months ago has her husband was ill. Have a safe trip Bermuda. Bohin needles are definitely better. Not anywhere near as much fraying. Learn something new everyday! Enjoy needlework shopping. I do not have a good needlework shop in my town. There is one that used to be good, but was sold and now they help NOT AT ALL. You ask for fabric or a pattern and never get a call back. Guess local business isn't important and now the store has all other kinds of things and needlework keeps being cut back. Its a small shop so I figure it won't be long before no needlework at all. Drive safe!

OMG, syagel, so sorry to read about your latest escapade. That sounds absolutely awful about the large patch of skin you lost. I can only imagine how painful it must be. I had to laugh about your Dh's comment about having a hard head. Mine always tells me that I have a big mouth, despite the fact that several dentists have told me otherwise. Take good care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Watch some CSI and put your feet up!

s1fuss, I am unpacking my box right now to check out those Bohin needles along with a few other goodies.

Have a safe trip Bermuda.

PS syagel, if I could, I'd send you about 25 degrees of warm weather every day for the next four months! I don't even want to think about TX summers.
