New project ordered
After much thinking and contemplating I ordered a new project "John Clayton's Ladies of Elegance Victoria" the description says the model is stitched on 27/28 ct fabric and the finished size is 9 1/4 x 8 1/2. There is no posted stitch width and height or no mention of type of fabric. I don't know how much fabric to purchase. Can I use the finished size and add my 3" on all 4 sides? So that would be 12 1/4 on the right and left sides and 11 1/2 top and bottom? I am trying to figure out how much of the magic easy count guide line I would need. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay -- finished size is 9-1/4 x 8-1/2. Adding three inches to each side equals an extra six inches vertically and six inches horizontally. That equals 15-1/4" x 14-1/2" I would round up to 16" x 15"
That is the size fabric you need regardless if you use regular aida or gridded aida.

If you are talking about pre-gridding yourself using the easy grid system you only have to count out to the 15 x 14 inch area

As for how much Easy Count you need, one roll will do lots and lots of projects, and I only grid the area I am stitching, not the three extra inches around.

Thanks Nancy! Now I need to order my fabric. The model was stitched on 27/28 fabric I can use 14 ct?

Yes you can definitely use 14 ct. The finished size will be the same as 28ct over 2

I went to 123stitch and saw the John Claton ones.......beautiful is an understatement!!
