About the floss pack
Is the floss list consistent with using three strands for cross-stitches?

LOVE THIS PATTERN! But wouldn't you rather use 16 or 18 ct fabric? Rather than all that extra floss?

I don't understand. In the description it gives measurements for using 14 ct fabric but also says that it was designed for 18 ct fabric.

There are a lot of colors. You would definitely need more than one skein of black and one other color.

Yes, if you are purchasing all new floss That could be a big expense. However, You probably have a most of them in your stash. I don't think that the cost of using three strands should make a huge difference in cost.

I always go thru and pull from my stash to see what I have & what I need before I start..

Could be the computer software....again...but these are designed 14, 16, or 18 ct.

Wow! Glad you asked about this design, as I just love it! And that is something for a very old stitcher who remains hesitant regarding the many-paged designs that I already have! I just enjoy the artwork for this and all the happy colors....mmm, maybe I shall have to reconsider my fears. I hope that, if you don't hear from Kristi or someone in customer service, that you contact them and ask them to let those on chit chat here to know the andwwr....14 or 18 count and how much floss!

Su, they are taken from the original artwork by Megan Duncanson of Madart something. There are a whole slew of them. Found them on Mystic Stitch, but they have disappeared from there. At least I couldn't find them on the website. I have about 8 of them on my wishlist here...or did have. :)

They are under Mystic Stitch on this site, but I wonder what happened to the patterns and info on the MS site???

I LOVE new floss, an expensive habit, I know. This has 94 skeins listed. It would take forever to pick it out myself. I would pay the premium to have someone else pick it out for me.

jsimon -- just wondering -- do you purchase all new floss for each project? If so, what do you do with your leftover threads. I have no problem with that if you prefer to do it that way. There are no rules -- see my thread on CROSS STITCH BIBLE

I would like to apply for the job as your personal floss shopper. Send me your list. I will shop for you. Premium rate -- $1 per skein for regular DMC floss. Free shipping in the USA. Minimum purchase required. Other flosses available at negotiated prices.

That would be a great business. Of course, I would have to compete with ECS.

Hello,

This design does use 18ct. White Aida. Our default is set to 14ct. so it never got changed when the supplies were added. I have changed the fabric count and I double checked the floss list and that is correct. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for letting us know about the error :)

I like to precut my skeins into eight equal lengths, then I thread them onto card stock with holes punched in it. I used to get the cards at Hobby Lobby, but for political reasons, I don't shop there anymore. I make my own cards now. I had a ton of floss from old projects like this and couldn't think of a good way to organize them all. But I did finally get a system and I can use old floss now. I will probably check my old floss before buying more for this project. I just talk big, lol. I had all the colors at one point rolled onto the flat bobbins, but I prefer to have the floss precut and without kinks.

The premium I am willing to pay is 49 cents, lol. I am a shut in and rarely leave my home. My partner is willing to ship for my floss for me, but I think 94 skeins would overwhelm him. He went to three different stores, all over town, to find B5200, and couldn't find it. I freaked out and thought they had stopped making it. Then I finally got up the nerve to leave the house, after some medication, and I found the B5200, right where I told him it would be. Can you really complain when someone is doing something so nice for you?

I could go to JoAnn's with a friend to get floss for this project. That's what I will probably do. Then when I run out of a color, I can send my partner. I think asking him to buy so many colors at one time would be too much.
