Number of Thread Colors
I ask this since I want to order the Floss Organizer prior to stitching this piece and need to know if I will require 2 Organizers to hold all the assorted floss colors. Each organizer holds only 50 colors. Thank you.

I have looked at other sites and do not see that it is specified how many floss colors are included in this kit. However, most of the Dimensions kits these days are presorted already on floss organizers but again, this kit does not specify this either. I saw someone's listing selling the kit and they laid out the thread cards but said thread was missing from the item they were selling. I counted 38 colors from what was shown but do not know if this is accurate. I make my own floss organizers instead of buying them by just buying poster board and punching holes with a hand hole puncher, then mark it with a pencil with my color numbers. Hope this helps you a little. Happy stitching.

I Have floss organizers that only have ten or twelve spaces. I find them a little clumsy and the floss tends to get tangled. I liked cat lover's recommendation to make your own organizers instead of buying them if you choose to do that.

WARNING: the description says that there are a lot of fractional stitches in this pattern. Are you comfortable with that?

I have never stitched a pattern with that many different colors so I really cannot give you any wise advice.

Thanks to both of you. I've used the thread organizers companies provide, but find threads slipping off, getting impossibly tangled and most irritating sometimes difficult to pull one thread. At least on the organizer I'm interested in has the means to hold on to the threads. I understand and appreciate your responses. Haven't used a Chat before and find it pretty interesting. Again, thanks.

Oops, forgot the question re half stitches. I don't find any problem. Actually they are quicker. Strangest thing I noticed, for some strange reason they can be a little harder to count. I never figured out why.

ginijac--- welcome to the chat room. Forgive us if some of us, including me, are a little too opinionated. We're just passionate about stitching.

I've never done a dimensions kit... but have bought one or two that were in my stash (lost it all in a flood 2 years ago!)

Personally, I use floss bobbins and put them in a small case to keep with my project. For other threads, such as Caron Watercolours and Kreinik and Rainbow Gallery, I use the little baggies. The most frustrating thing about those is that the white label area wears off... so I use stick-on labels then.

Find a method that works for you and stick to it. The most important thing is that you're enjoying the journey!!!
