Leftovers
Hi everyone. Do you all save the floss from your kits and what do you do with them?

Hi elerose,
I have saved some DMC "kit" floss but see my "chat"....
I'm not sure exactly why I'm saving the kit floss since I probably won't use it.

That makes sense! I will move away from kits but I am still new to this!

ALL of us stitchers were at the same cross roads you're at right now. If you move away from kits, I suggest you start with a small simple pattern on some fabric that is an EVENWEAVE such as Jobelan or a 22-count to get your feet wet, so to speak. I was a nervous wreck when I started on 28-count fabric for the first time after having done 14-count. I kept saying, "Go over 2, go over 2" unitl I got comfortable with it. Buying your own fabric and floss for a project may initially start by putting out a bit more cash, but you can start your fabric stash and have some much fun!! with being creative with colors and designs! Give it a try! We have your back!!
