Check my math please
I am starting a new chat "cuz" the other was getting a little long.
#1. I went to pull Miss Victoria out of my bag and she is all crinkled, wrinkled with lots of hoop marks. When I got the news about my illness I threw everything in my bag where.it has sat for 6months. Will the marks come out?

#2 . Design is 140 w x 140h fabric is 14ct aida; allowing for 2" top bottom and both sides margins, l THINK my design area should be about 10x10??? Right or wrong? Is this correct? Could you provide me with the formula . I am a little ditzy with all the drugs they have given me.

#3. If you use the pre-gridded fabric, please be aware that those lines do fade after time. I am going to go back to doing my gridding with the Easy Line Grid Grid line.

#4. Have fun stitching!, Live life to it's fullest"!

Your math is fine, but if you plan on having it framed, the framers need a minimum of 3"-4" all the way around the sides for a framer to mount it on foam core non-acidic board. That means that your fabric size should be at least either 16"x16" or 18"x18" because you just add six to eight inches (for 3"-4" on both top and bottom and left and right sides)!

I hope you can enjoy your stitching during treatments. I am both a nurse practitionee and a physician assistant. Please know that you have a right to determine what you want as far as treatment and a right to not suffer pain. Insist on your comfort, if it means stitching, listening to music or audible books with ear buds (earphones), humming, extra pillows, more blankets, certain foods...you go girl!

I am here most days and will always listen and try to help if I can. In case you want more privacy, you can email me at pittsuze63@yahoo.com

Hi Sydney,
To help you with calculating your fabric for your future projects, I would suggest you go to the "Crosstitch.com" website and use their cross stitch calculator.( Please other stitchers, do not send me any "off to the dungeon with you" responses because I'm recommending a different website's calculator). I'm not the strongest in math and the crosstitch.com calculator allows me the options of putting in how many inches of extra fabric I want for mounting and framing, the option of figuring out what size fabric I need, if I'm doing "over one" or "over 2" squares, and even the option of taking the measurements, for example, of a 12 inch x 14 inch pattern and giving me the NUMBER OF SQUARES in Width and Height. Additionally, when I've entered all the numbers in the calculator, the calculator will tell me what the "FINISHED size of the pattern only" will be AND how much fabric I will need.
