That's a great question: How do you know how many of each color to buy?

That being said, I would like to emphasis that you were given an opinion. If I had responded first I would have told you that the floss listed on the supply list was from the manufacturer of the pattern. If more than one skein of a color was necessary the list would have indicated that.

I would have told you that one skein each should have been enough to complete the project. Of course, I will say that having too much floss is better than not having enough.

The colors listed are the only ones you need. The "1" indicates that you need one skein of that particular color. Hope this helps.

DMC skeins sre 8.7 ydd of 6-strand floss. You will get 1 skein of each color.

Now is a good time to begin organizing it in numerical order. There's bobbins, rings, plastic bags, binders, stitch bows, etc.
