Fiinally!
I just finished this piece. And it only took me 15 years! My eyes went and my fingers got gnarled from arthritis and I gave it all up. I picked back up again about a year ago. Hurray for reading glasses! I think I must thank a higher power for the use of my fingers. She's quite lovely.

It's beautiful!!....welcome back to cross stitching, I too must wear "readers" and it seems like I have to increase the power every year lol! I'm so glad you were able to finish after all these years....

She's lovely! What a sense of accomplishment to finish something started 15 years ago! Not sure it would be anything but shreds of fabric if I had "stored" it! Welcome back! There are several of us who have returned and found all the improvements to lights, magnifiers, fabrics, flosses, and patterns a boon to our interest. Enjoy all the new stuff and be sure to share your new project! :)

She is gorgeous! I think she is truly the most beautiful design of all the mermaids. I have her to do, but my sight is not great. I hope I get up my courage in 2016 and begin mine. She is all kitted up, ready to go! Yours is marvelous!

She's beautiful. Aren't you glad that you finished her? 15 months or 15 years, who cares, it's the end result that counts. I have several mermaid and fairy patterns and will, hopefully, finish one or two next year. I had a plan but DD keeps throwing these monkey wrenches in.
I had two projects, not too difficult or time consuming, and wanted to start on one of the Celtic ladies but she wants me to stitch some Halloween project. I haven't seen it and don't know where she got it. The pressure.....

I absolutely love this design! I just started the Thomas Kincaide Little Mermaid pattern from MCG Textiles, I hope it turns out even half as gorgeous as yours did!! Great work!!

I never considered myself particularly 'anal' but it makes me crazy if I make a mistake. I'll pull stitches to get it right. Working on this lady taught me that no one is going to know but me. I did a beautiful Bengal tiger head (based on a Coholeach print) and changed the golds from greenish to 435's. What a bold move for me but he's stunning.
