If I stay...
Up all night stitching, what would be a valid excuse for calling into work tomorrow? I'm not tired and I'm in a good spot making some quick progress tonight. I don't want to put it away for the night.

Keep going.... pinch your nostrils together when you call in tomorrow saying you've "got a code". :)

Whisper and talk slowly, say you have a migraine.

You could say that the cross stitch police came and locked you up!

Rosebud's response as the "cross stitch police" throw her in the jail cell should be, "I'VE BEEN FRAMED"!!!

Bermuda -- Great Idea.

Love all the suggestions for Rosebud's dilemma of staying up all night to stitch! I too hate it when ou are on a roll and then the clock tells you it's time for bed! I always reluctantly put my stitching down, anticipating when I can again pick it back up! Although the pinching the nose and I got a code is a pretty awesome suggestion!

I just read all this to my husband. He thought I was crazy to stay up all night stitching, but now he says, "you're not the only one. That makes me feel better."

No different than staying up all night to finish a good book!

Good point Nancy! I do that a lot too and regret it in the morning!

I've occasionally stayed up most the night to stitch, especially when "Mr. Insomnia " comes to visit. DH has gotten up early in the morning ( like 5 a.m.) and I'm sitting there stitching. Of course, I pay the price of falling asleep late morning (I'm retired so I can get away with it.) :)

Rosebud, did you call in sick??? :)
