Is this 28 count easy to see and work with? I have developed cataracts and sometimes have blurry vision.

No! The count refers to the number of stitches per inch, so the higher the number, the smaller the stitch. I recommend using 14 or even 11 count fabric. Use the fabric calculator (under the cross stitch fabric heading on this site) to find out what size of fabric you will need.

I may be mistaken but I also had cataracts so I do understand he problem. I believe that 28 ct. Jobelan, etc are equivalent to 14 ct Aida since you would be stitching over 2 threads. So if you can handle 14 ct Aida I think you will be OK.

The fabric count on Aida refers to # of holes per inch. On linens /evenweaves, it refers to threads per inch. You stitch over 2 threads, so 14 = 28. Holes in Aida easier to see. Produces same size design.
