Tambour Needlework frame
Just bought one on Ebay to try. Only $27 a 10"x up to 18" adjustible frame with webbing for tension on all sides. Downside may be that 2 bars protrude and there are "C" clamps we'll have to see about.

Looking for a Millenium Frame, but none on Ebay. I can understand. If I had one, I'd have it buried with me for stitching in Heaven, if I got there.

You will, jl.

What's the story on these frames that makes them such a sought after commodity? Why are they no longer being manufactured. I need a good frame because I have the G of D coming. I wonder how much longer it will take. I thought that it was in the mail today but it was my Filofax order. Yes, I prefer it to my smart phone. No charging required!

Perfect tension, no coming loose, no screw on knobs. I have to tighten the EZ Stitch frames sometimes, especially since they're older & the screws a bit worn, I guess. RSN (Royal School of Needlework) likes what they call slate frames -- fabric stitched on all 4 sides. No, I haven't been to England. I've bought a couple of RSN books.

The Millennium Frame is only stitched onto the scroll bars. The tension comes from the spreader bars. The Slate has 4 specifically sized bars & looks un-weildy. The Tambour (from drum) is a combination. Hope it holds tight as a drum! I've got a piece that's going to need it.
