purple cow
Here is my purple cow that I stitched for the World of Charity Stitching. I did the cross stitch. Then I sent it to someone in Florida that made the tote bag. It will either go to a senior center or Ronald McDonald House.

Thanks Treasure. I almost had it. I had the right I idea. I took the picture off the WOCS site and switched to a PDF file. I went back and resaved it and it worked like a charm.

I am really happy the final result.

When you create a new chat, click "Browse," which is down beneath the message box. Then, open the folder you have your photo saved in. Select the photo, and then select "Open" on your dialog box (assuming you have a Windows PC...I don't know if Mac uses the exact same words in their dialog boxes).

Hope that helps! Look forward to seeing your cow! :)

Nancye....that turned out adorable..when we were kids and on a road trip my dad would always tell us to look for a purple cow...and then he would recite the poem..."I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one; But I can tell you anyhow, I'd rather see than be one...we had no idea what that meant but we spent lots of time looking...things were simpler than lol...

That poem was my inspiration to stitch the purple cow. I had been looking for the right pattern for a while. Never found one that was quite right. This pattern was originally for a green cow -- I hate following the designer's suggested colors.

By the way, my dad used to tell us that chocolate milk came from brown cows!
