Blue Floral Heart Bookmark
I have an old kit that I purchased a while ago. In the chart, I don't know what "#Pulls" mean. It lists the color, Floss Stitch Used, Strands and "Pulls".
Can anyone tell me what it means. Thanks

Hi there.

What the name of the kit that you had purchased? Did you open the package?
If you had got 2 small sticks in the package that means you can use it as a small bell pull beside using it as bookmark. Good luck. Please let me know if I am right. Thanks

Does it have anything to do with hardanger?

JOJO -- I am curious Can you give us more information? Miss C gave a good answer. I GOOGLEd "cross stitch pulls" and all I came up with was bell pulls. Some were for very small pieces like bookmarks -- didn't necessarily have "bells" There were some with tassels.

Would be happy to help if I can.

On the chart where the Symbols and floss is - it says " Symbol - Color - Floss - Stitch Used - Strands - and #Pulls. What does #pulls mean?

I really don't understand #Pulls. Doesn't sound like anything I remember seeing. How many pulls? Does the picture show the bookmark with an alternate use, like something you would hang on the wall? I haven't stitched bookmarks and I am a little stymied. I am going to the library tomorrow. Maybe I can find something. Of course, that doesn't help you today.

Maybe it is a misspelled word and what they mean it is spool. because it is accompany with the word threads = spool or spools in plural

well, on the keyboard the # sign is the same key for the number "3". Maybe a typo error and it's meant to read "3 pulls"; but even that doesn't seem to make sense...

Try to call the company where the kit had been made. Good luck.

I just checked a couple of websites for their "cross stitch vocabulary" and didn't see anything close to that. I agree with Miss C... if you can find the name of the company of the kit's instructions or packaging, you might at least be able to search them on the internet and see if they have a phone number to call them to get clarification.
