Rollercoaster....
Ok, I am tired of the weather rollercoaster ride we are on. Obviously, I am in an area that had those super freezing days for the past couple of weeks. Now we have had another 3 inches of snow overnight with more this A.M. By Wed. we are expecting temps in the low 40's. Thurs. we are to get into the 50's. Then by Sat. we are to be back to low 20's with more snow. These 30 degree swings play havoc with my knees. I didn't like the freezing cold, but at least it was consistent for a couple of weeks and the old joints adjust. Up and down weather makes me hobble for a bit when I stand to go get something. Older age stinks!

Same here, but with less snow! We had freezing rain snow mix this morning, and schools are canceled, again. (No school all of last week because of the cold) We have a small creek at the back of our property that’s frozen, but with the sudden warm temps we may get some ice jams, and flooding. Yippie.

I'm not older (or at least I don't consider myself to be) but I have some old injuries and the weather does the same to me so I know how you feel. It also gives me migraines when its waffling to and fro. I'm an excellent storm/snow predictor: a human barometer lol. Unfortunately I seem to have passed my predilection to weather related migraines on to my kiddo. :(

Had to put on the cleats this morning to walk dogs since the winter mix iced things up and I have that same hobble right now

Waiting for the temps to rise to melt the ice rink our back patio has become this past week. The two hummers made it through the bitter cold, DH saw them both early this morning at the feeders but since then, nothing. Maybe the two of them decided to have a good breakfast, then ‘got the hell out of Dodge.’
Been feeling the bones do a bit of ‘snap, crackle, pop’ so I bundle up and stay in till it warms everything up outside. Will try heading out tomorrow to get some chores done.

Le-Anne, I understand being a barometer. I tore the ligaments in my left knee when I was 13 (back then they didn't do anything unless they were completely torn through and then it was big surgery, not the laser stuff today) and that is the knee that makes me hobble for a bit. I empathize with your migraines, that would be horrible. I am fortunate that I have not had that problem. I have heard that they can be somewhat hereditary - at least the tendency toward having them. BTW, I'm not TOO old (at least not mentally LOL), but now in my mid-sixties I feel everything more that I use to be able to ignore.

Bermuda, I certainly hope your weather improves soon - I would hate to go south to avoid these winters only to have cold, cold weather there! Here is hoping your hummingbirds keep coming back and to warmer weather! 🌞

I'm in Cols Ohio. Temp has dropped more than 25 degrees since this morning. Everyone stay safe and warm.

It was raining when I came to work this morning at 7, then some freezing rain and now it is snowing! 11 degrees C yesterday and forecast for - 11 degrees C tomorrow. YUCK!!
Likely be slippery underfoot when I leave. :(
