The Journey
Regarding the spokes for the wheels on the bike, do I back stitch each square, or can I make the spokes, using three long strands of floss? I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

I went to the designers website Dimension Inc. and enlarged the picture. To me it looks like the bicycle spokes are just regular backstitching. I don't think there are any cross stitches in the spokes. Perhaps someone on this chat room has done this pattern. It is a pretty kit and if I was doing it I would long back stitch all the spokes. Hope this helps.

You can use "long stitches" for the spokes, but they're not very stable. I would suggest several long stitches for each spoke, inserting the needle where the spoke crosses a hole (intersection on the chart grid). It will look like one line to the eye when framed.

Thank you. I will do that.

Just looked at the design. These spokes are short & long stitches should work fine. Use 1 strand of black floss.
