In response to a couple of questions I saw, this pattern is shown on two large pages - we ended up copying it onto 8 letter size pages. It is a very complex pattern and would be tough for someone new to cross stitch. I also don't believe it could be done on 16 count.

As a comment, I think it was a very poor design - appears that someone scanned a pretty picture but never worked the pattern to clean it up. Even the picture on the kit appears to be a photo and not stitchery. There are numerous orphan stitches in a color virtually identical to other nearby stitches consequently I feel the finished product is a bit muddy. Worked on this off and on for approximately two years and would have thrown it out except that it was started by my late husband and I wanted to finish his work.
